What can I study?
Whether you’re looking to kick-start your career in a caring profession or are already working in the sector and want to up-skill with a short course, we have lots of flexible study options — some of them are fully funded!
- Access to Higher Education
Our Access courses are designed for those aged 19+ who want to go to university but don’t currently hold the right qualifications. Our health related Access courses are ideal if you are looking to go into professions which require a university level qualification, for example nursing and midwifery.
- Dental Technology
Wanting to work in dentistry? Our Dental Technology course leads to a recognised General Dental Council approved qualification which will enable you to work as a dental technician. If you are interested in studying this course and don’t currently hold a level 3 qualification you can study for free!
- Health and Social Care
We offer lots of full and part-time courses in health and social care including a range of short online courses perfect for CPD if you’re currently working in the sector.
- Early Years
Our Early Years courses are ideal if you want to work with children in a childcare or education setting. We also offer a range of short online courses which are ideal for those currently working in this sector who are looking to up-skill.
Funding
If you’re an adult aged 19+ looking to get back into education then funding and finance options are available to help you continue your studies. Depending on certain eligibility your chosen course could be completely free!
If you choose to study an Access course funding is available through an Advanced Learner Loan. If you progress onto a university course on completion of your Access Course you don’t repay your Access Course fees!
The government’s National Skills Fund programme also offers funding to adult learners aged 19+ studying a full-time course in a number of subject areas.
You can find out more about funding options on each individual course page.
