News: Music students rock Spain

Please note: This news story may contain information that is no longer current or up to date.

A group of 20 Music Performance and Music Technology students from Nottingham College took part in a music tour in Spain this summer.

During the five-day trip the students played four separate gigs at different venues, including a set at Maggie’s Rock CafĂ© in Pinar de Campoverde near Alicante.

The trip was designed to give students real life music touring experience in front of live audiences.

Kirsty Proctor, Music Lecturer at Nottingham College, said: “I’m so proud of the students, what an amazingly successful music tour! The bands were well-received and it gave them an opportunity to get out of their comfort zone and play to new audiences.”
