Nottingham College has once again been awarded Gold College of Excellence 2024 by the UK’s leading destination spa, Ragdale Hall Spa, in recognition of outstanding practice and standards in beauty training.

The‘College of Excellence’ award recognises providers that deliver hair and beauty courses to a consistently high standard, helping students to gain the qualifications and industry experience they need to pursue successful future careers.

As a recipient of the award, Nottingham College students will have the opportunity to attend exclusive careers events such as open evenings and treatment demonstrations as well as have the chance to apply for prestigious work placement opportunities with Ragdale Hall.

Nottingham College Level 3 Beauty Therapy student, Rubie Robinson-Dudley said:

We all enjoy and value the college partnership with Ragdale Hall spa. I want to go straight into working at a spa just like Ragdale when I finish this course, as it offers the treatments that I want to work in. I’m hoping to apply at Ragdale Hall Spa next year so having this award on my CV will improve my application and hopefully give me the best chance to work there.

I would definitely recommend studying Level 3 beauty at Nottingham College, it has great facilities, the teachers are so supportive and understanding and I feel so looked after here. The college has also given me the opportunity to study maths and English alongside Level 3 beauty which will help me with my future career. The environment at Wheeler Gate feels just like a real salon, so it’s giving me the industry experience I need and I already feel like I’m working.

Hair and Beauty lecturer, Charlene Mawer said:

We’ve won the Gold College of Excellence award for a number of years now and we are always so excited to receive it! This award means a lot to us because it enables our relationship with Ragdale Hall Spa to continue providing our students with valuable experience, including trade testing them for potential work placement.
