This course is a great choice if you are ready to start your career in the beauty industry and have a passion for making people feel pampered and good about themselves.

It is ideal for anyone want to add basic make-up services to their current treatment options.

You will learn:

  • Contra-indications to make-up application
  • Health, safety and hygiene
  • Make-up preparation
  • Completing a make-up service and adapting to create different make-up looks including day, evening and special occasion.

Entry requirements

You will need

  • Good communication skills
  • Keen interest in the beauty industry
  • Good dexterity (hand/ eye coordination)
  • An informal chat with tutor

You can expect a dedicated team of lecturers who still work in the industry, so have up to date skills and experience. This course will be a hands-on learning experience to ensure you get a solid grounding in the main application of a brow lamination treatment, using high quality products.

Practical skills will be assessed when carrying out a make-up service on a model and completion of an end of unit test which will be graded pass or refer. (Please note you will be asked to provide your own model).

Additional information

Please note you need to provide your own model to complete a make-up service.

Please ensure that you are wearing all black e.g. black trousers or leggings and plain black t-shirt or tunic.

You may be required to purchase a kit to complete this course. Information will be provided on application.
