Course outline

This course is a great choice if you are ready to start your career in the beauty industry and have a passion for making people feel pampered and good about themselves.

It is ideal for anyone want to add threading services to their current treatment options.

You will learn:

  • Communication and consultation techniques
  • Contra-indications to threading
  • Health, safety and hygiene
  • Threading preparation including brow mapping
  • Completing a threading treatment
  • Homecare and after care

You can expect a dedicated team of lecturers who still work in the industry, so have up to date skills and experience. This course will be a hands-on learning experience to ensure you get a solid grounding in the main techniques of threading, using high quality products.

Practical skills will be assessed when carrying out a threading treatment on a model and completion of an end of unit test which will be graded pass or refer. (Please note you may be asked to provide your own model).

You must have:

  • Good communication skills
  • A keen interest in the beauty industry
  • Good dexterity (hand/ eye coordination)
  • An informal chat with a tutor

  • Completion of a threading treatment, facial and body
  • Multiple choice end of unit test

Other short course such as threading, brow lamination, lash lifting.

Please note you need to provide your own model to complete a threading treatment.

Please ensure that you are wearing all black e.g. black trousers or leggings and plain black t-shirt or tunic.
