Course outline

This course is perfect if you want to explore and develop your creative media and photography skills and knowledge.

You will learn the skills, qualities and knowledge that are needed for the changing media sector.

Our core focus is on:

  • Digital Photography skills
  • Video Production
  • Audio Production
  • Animation
  • Content Creation

You can expect to be involved in various projects using a wide range of different media and highly specialist photography and video equipment. The focus is on developing the essential elements in creative media production and photography.

Entry requirements

You’ll need 4 GCSEs at grades 3–1, including Maths or English Language at 2 or above. However, as we want this course to be accessible, we will consider applicants with lower grades who demonstrate an aptitude and passion for creative media or photography.

Teaching & assessment

Assessment is continuous throughout the course.

Progression

Choose to follow with a Level 2 course in creative media production, employment in the creative media production sector or moving on to a related vocational (career-related) programme.

Additional information

Students aged 16-18 don't have to pay tuition fees.
