Knit Techniques — Part-time

Course outline

These courses are for for anybody who loves to knit and wants to have some time each week to practice, learn new skills or share with other like-minded creatives!

The classes are sociable and you will have the opportunity to practice hand and machine knit techniques with the guidance of our technically skilled tutors.

You will have the option to present your work in a sketchbook or as individual pieces.

These courses are part of our Knit Pathway of Adult Part-Time courses:

  • Introduction to Knit Techniques
    • Introduction to Knit Techniques is for anybody who loves to knit and wants to have some time each week to practice, learn new skills or share with other like-minded creatives!
  • Hand Knit Techniques
    • Hand Knit Techniques is for anybody who loves to knit and wants to have some time each week to practice, learn new skills or share with other like-minded creatives!
  • Machine Knit Techniques
    • Machine Knit Techniques is for anybody who loves to knit and wants to have some time each week to practice, learn new skills or share with other like-minded creatives!
  • Development of Knit Techniques
    • This course is for adults who have existing knitting experience and want to return to, or develop, existing skills in machine and hand knit workshops. Students who have studied our 'Introduction to Knit Techniques' may take this course as their next step into learning to knit.

There is also the opportunity to repeat the Introduction to Knit Techniques in our summer term.

    There are no formal entry requirements but you must be aged 19+.
