Course Introduction
This course is perfect if you are a practicing team leader within a Waste Management capacity and want to become more effective and confident in your role or you are a new or aspiring team leader in any profession that requires you to be conscious of waste management.
This course can help you to make the transition from working within a team to leading a team. This qualification will give all staff working on construction sites an awareness of waste management legislation and prepare staff to lead a team.
You will learn:
- Physical, human and financial resources found in your workplace
- Importance of sufficient levels of material and labour in your workplace
- Effective, efficient and safe use of resources
- How the industry that you work in impacts on the environment
- How waste impacts on the environment
- The main benefits of managing waste
- Good practice with regards to waste management
- Legal requirements related to waste management
You can expect proactive and practical lessons on waste management, the environment and leading a team to become future ready.
Course Information
ILM Level 2 Award in Leadership and Team Skills
There are no formal entry requirements.
You will compile a portfolio of evidence throughout the course.
The qualification provides opportunities for progression to other qualifications such as the:
- ILM Level 3 Certificate in Site Waste Management Planning and Implementation
- ILM Level 2 Award or Certificate in Team Leading
- ILM Level 3 Award, Certificate or Diploma in First Line Management
