Textiles for Wellbeing — Part-time
Course outline
This course is designed to take some time for yourself and take part in some slow and calming textile techniques.
The course begins when the nights are getting darker and weather cooler so is perfect if you want to spend some time with like-minded people crafting and sewing to take your mind away from your responsibilities. Being practical and creative is proven to improve your mood so come and take part in some slow textile techniques over this 6 week course which might include felting, weaving, batik, dying, and other techniques.
This course is designed to be sociable, quiet and peaceful. If you prefer to take some quiet time, the course offers this also. You will be shown demonstrations to follow or you have the opportunity to work on your own ideas and ask questions to our specialist tutors. The environment is supportive, encouraging and is about improving your wellbeing with the use of creative craft!
Textiles for Wellbeing is part of our Craft for Wellbeing Pathway which also includes Sewing for Wellbeing. Our other pathways include Knit, Textiles, Seasonal Crafts, Creative Business Start-up.
