Advice and guidance

We are here to support you through every step of your journey at Nottingham College, even before you apply.

We will assist you during your transition to college and enrolment, while you are on your programme of study and when you are deciding on your next step after College – whether that is further study, independent living or employment. 

Nottingham College is here to provide you with the information, advice and guidance you need. 

The SLDD team work with Learner Services team to support:

  • Course information/​guidance and how to enrol
  • ID cards
  • Bus passes and travel information
  • Meal passes
  • Financial support
  • Referrals to outside agencies

The Achievement Coach

The Achievement Coach is here to help you overcome any problems you might have while you are studying at Nottingham College. These might include money worries, not settling in at College, getting behind with your work, problems at home or issues with your peers in class or around College. 

There is a member of the Achievement Coach Team based at each of the main campuses and you can make an appointment to see them. Your tutor can also refer you if they feel you need some extra support
