Duncan — Supported Learning

Project Search has opened up opportunities that he would not have had, if he had not participated in the programme. He now is working full time and has more confidence and responsibilities. 

Parent of a 2021/22 intern — 

Duncan has autism and he’s on a Supported Learning course at Nottingham College. The College’s Supported Learning team have worked with him to help him communicate with others and to come out of his shell. 

Dee Edwards, Lecturer at Nottingham College said: ​“Duncan has really progressed over the past year with us, and has started to show his cheeky side, which is wonderful to see.

“We’re so pleased with the steps we have made together. We’ve been able to help him explore new foods and he’s shown a creative side both in craft and IT sessions.”
