Your child’s experience
Each day your child will play, learn and have fun. This may be indoors or outdoors; but always in a safe and caring environment. Our qualified and experienced staff use the Early Years Foundation Stage to plan activities and opportunities for all children, helping them work towards their next stage of development.
We promote working in partnership with parents using the valuable knowledge parents hold about their children, to enable us to plan effectively for every child. We take every opportunity to share with parents how their children learn and develop through the seven areas of learning. The learning journey children start when they join our nursery is a joint effort with parents and extended family and in doing so we aim to reach the best outcomes for all children.

Team
Our nursery team members are all qualified to Level 3. In each of our nursery rooms and outdoors, there will always be at least one member of the team with a Level 3 qualification, sometimes supported by a supply team member who are all qualified to Level 2.
We are also committed to training the Early Years professionals of the future, so we do have students on placement working towards Level 2 and 3 qualifications in our setting, who always work with us under full supervision.
Working in partnership with parents
Your child will be given a key person who is responsible for their wellbeing and development and is your ‘go to’ person in the nursery. If your child is under 2 years old, you’ll receive a sheet every day outlining their progress.
From 2 years upwards, parents will be given verbal feedback at the end of each day and parents will also be invited to liaise with us about their child’s development on an ongoing basis.
Each half term your child will be ‘in focus’ this a chance for us to share what we know about your child in ‘the moment’. You can help us by letting us know what your child likes to do at home, what their favourite book or song currently is and we can use this to enhance their play and learning in nursery.
We have an open door policy, which means you’re welcome to come in at a mutually convenient time to talk about your child with their key person. They will be happy to listen and work with you to provide your child with the best learning opportunities, by working together and sharing information.
