High Pavement
The High Pavement Sixth Form is steeped in academic history.
If you’d like to study A Levels in the city, in a supportive environment with excellent links to universities locally and nationally, High Pavement is the place for you.
High Pavement has everything you need to succeed in your studies – a dedicated team of lecturers, well equipped classrooms, great facilities and strong links with our neighbour Nottingham Trent University.
A Levels are a great way to prepare for university-level study, and we will be there to help you choose the university or institution that’s right for you, and to help you towards achieving the grades you need. You’ll be able to work and complete research in our fantastic Learning Centre, and you’ll meet with your tutor regularly to see how you’re progressing and help keep your studies well on track.
High Pavement is a mature environment, where you’ll meet loads of fellow students who’ve also chosen A Levels, so you’ll find you have lots of support and the opportunity to make new friends.
High Pavement
The original High Pavement School was established in 1788 and it wasn't until 1975 that it turned from grammar school into a sixth form. In 1999 the centre merged with New College Nottingham and since then has occupied a prime position on the edge of Nottingham Trent University's City campus, giving our A Level students a real insight into University life, before they've even got there.
When New College Nottingham merged with Central College in 2017 to become Nottingham College, the combined skills and expertise allowed students to benefit from a wider curriculum and facilities.
